Charging an import in Europe

With the original North American port, you need a compatible Type 2 to NACS adapter or cable for European AC points. A normal 230 V / 32 A setup supplies up to 7.4 kW on one phase; an 11 kW three-phase point usually gives about 3.7 kW on that one phase.

7.4 kW describes this common setup, not every possible charger. The car, adapter, supply and any conversion determine the limit. An adapter alone does not add three-phase charging. DC needs compatible CCS hardware and an appropriate adapter; check the specific car and charging network.

Mileage and warranty

When does the warranty end?

Use the year the car first entered service. Buying it used does not restart its warranty. Since the month is unknown, we allow the whole year and keep coverage uncertain near the deadline.

Model 3/Y, including Highland and Juniper: basic cover 4 years / 80,000 km; battery and motors 8 years / 160,000 km for RWD, or 192,000 km for Long Range and Performance. Confirm the terms for this car; extended and replacement-part warranties are not included.

The US / Canada car stays without Tesla warranty in Europe regardless of age or mileage. Its date and odometer are used only to compare age and future mileage.

What if it needs a major repair?

Repair scenarios

The published EV Clinic Berlin example applies to the original Model 3/Y. It is a repair, not a new battery. S/X, Highland and Juniper need a model-specific quote. Unverified prices stay blank.
