Model presets use the owner average for driving. The calculator adds charging losses separately; WLTP is a reference only.

A small sample from public owner communities, not a fleet average. Versions, wheels, climate and driving differ. S and X examples cover the newer Dual Motor cars, not older 75D/100D versions.

Reported range: 14.9–19.6 kWh/100 km.

Home and fast charging

The slider splits the energy you need, not the number of visits. Home starts at the average night tariff of the three suppliers. DC uses our two-network price sample. Charging losses are included. You can edit every price below.

Available parking time and power can limit AC charging. The rest moves to DC at the DC price. Work charging from an imported scenario remains included.

Public AC/DC figures are an equal-weight sample of Eldrive and Electrip, not a national average. Parking and time fees are excluded. Fuel use starts at illustrative 7 / 6 / 9 L per 100 km for petrol / diesel / LPG; adjust it for the actual car.

Charging availability

AC use is limited by available power and parked time. Any energy it cannot supply moves to DC. New scenarios use 10 hours overnight and up to 3.7 kW at home; imported charging settings stay unchanged.

Starting estimates are already included. Changing your price or driving updates untouched estimates; anything you edit stays yours. Shared calculations keep their saved numbers. Resale is an assumption, not a promised price.

Tesla Model Y

Where these estimates come from

Starting budgets assume a used car in normal condition. Purchase prices are editable examples, not current listings. Warranty eligibility is not verified.

Insurance
Bulstrad 2026 full Casco: 4.94% for Highland/Juniper and S/X starters (assumed up to 3 years old), 5.75% for original Model 3/Y and fuel cars (assumed over 3–5 years), plus 2% premium tax. These ages are starter assumptions. Liability uses the Sofia tariff for a private owner aged 30–78, including tax and fund contributions. Confirm eligibility, age, cover and repair network with an insurer. Annual premiums stay constant in this estimate.
Servicing and tyres
Service budgets combine Bulgarian labour prices with separate allowances for parts, tyres and wear. AT Batsalov lists oil/filter labour at €23.30 including VAT; parts cost extra. Tesla intervals set the filter and brake checks. The budget includes two seasonal changes of four tyres; oil service for fuel cars is assumed annually or every 15,000 km. Check your car’s schedule. Major repairs are separate.
Tax, inspection and road fees
Annual vignette: €64.50 from BG TOLL. Inspection: €46.02 from one Sofia M1 station, budgeted once a year. EV vehicle tax: €0. Combustion example: €62.74 in Sofia, 110 kW, Euro 6, up to 5 years old. Other municipalities, ages and power differ. Set unused items to 0. Parking, transfer and registration costs are separate; today’s annual costs are held constant.
Resale value
The base resale budget keeps 50% of today’s value after another 5 years and 25% after 10. Lower-cost and higher-cost scenarios vary these values by 30%. Bulgarian listings are asking prices, not completed sales or a future depreciation curve, so they do not set this forecast. Enter your own expected sale price in the advanced settings.

Add a specific event and its estimated bill. These are stress scenarios, not predicted failures or reliability percentages. No events means no major repair in this scenario; it does not mean the car cannot break. An unused cash reserve is not an expense.
